Although David Tennant is my favorite Doctor, my FIRST Doctor was Tom Baker! Which incarnation of the Doctor were YOU first introduced to?

Hi, I am having someone build a full size Tardis for my son, who is a huge Doctor Who fan. I'm having trouble finding a light for the top. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. It looks to me like a boat nautical type light. But if anyone can direct me in the right direction of where to find something, I would greatly appreciate it. We live in the U.S. Thanks! Donna

Well I may be the odd one out and this is definitely out of the" little blue box," but I believe we should break with tradition and have a lady cast as the 12th Doctor. The Doctor himself has said that not all Time Lords always regenerate in the same sex so perhaps for one regeneration, the Doctor can become a woman. Think of the endless story possibilities and the Doctor learning things from a woman's perspective and perhaps he/she will have to re-gain confidence of some f the people who loved and knew him as a man and understand how hard it can be for women to be heard. And she'll need a cute fellow companion or 2:)
I was thinking of perhaps Zooey Deschanel? She has an interesting and innocent look. Or someone who had an interesting look.
Now a Time Lord is supposed to have 13 lives according to the Paul McGann movie, so for the 13th Doctor, I would so loooooove Michael Sheen. He's quick-witted, quirky, interesting and born in Wales. Michael also has amazing green eyes that look like you can see the whole Universe in them and you need that for the Doctor :)

I know he's kinda old, but Eric Idle would make a great doctor. He's got that kind of charm and with some make up you'd have a great doctor.
Another choice would be Eddie Izzard. I mean, the guy is actually a fan and he's hilarious. Even though he's wildly popular, I think he would make a great Doctor. Him, John Noble or Jack Davenport (from the Pirate movies). I would prefer a much older Doctor this time. Someone more like Pertwee or McCoy.

The first quote ("Correctamundo!") is actually from "School Reunion" Series 2 When the 11th Doctor says "It's a fez. I wear fezzes now. Fezzes are cool." It's from Series 5 The quote when River lands the TARDIS without the brakes on is from "The Time of Angels" Series 5 The "River Song, I could bloody kiss you" quote is from "Flesh and Stone" Series 5 When River says "If he dies, I'll kill him." it's from "Flesh and Stone" Series 5 The quote when the 11th Doctor says "I'm 900 years old. Do you know what that means?" is from "Flesh and Stone" Series 5 It's actually the 10th Doctor who says "Are you my Mummy?" with a gas mask on. "The Poison Sky" Series 4

David Tennant's run is almost over. For many he was the new face of the Doctor. What do you think about Matt Smith, the youngest Doctor Who to date?

I really like what Smith brings to the role of the Doctor. Excitement and passion. Smith understands how the role means to the fans and takes it very seriously.

"WHA-AT?!?! NOOOO!!!! DOCTOR WHO IS GOING TO DIE WITH OUT RUSSEL T. DAVIS!! NOOOOOO!!! *Sob sob sob*" Steven Moffat seems to be good at the helm of Doctor Who. No doubt he had to put is own mark on the franchise. But I understand where you're coming from. It's hard to say goodbye to the Tennant era.

Matt Smith is outstanding as Eleven. Like Tennant, Smith brings excitement and passion to the show. Really embraces the role of the Doctor, and is well aware how much the Doctor means to the fans.

Okay, am I the only one here who didn't really care for Amy? At times I found her to just rather bland and rather devoid of personality. When she and Rory were first introduced I was afraid that it was going to be a repeat of the whole Doctor/Rose/Mickey thing. So glad it wasn't!

Amy is OK, but not my favorite companion. As a stand alone companion, she's average. With Rory added to the mix, she's better.
Reminds me of Tegan Jovanka. Both are extroverts and very opinionated. Both had the best brought out of them when there were other companions around. Tegan and Amy each exasperated their respective Doctors, as well.
The similarities are very striking.

Have you ever watched an episode and felt that it wasn't very good? Were your hopes ever lifted high then let down again? Well post your let down episodes here.
The only 3 I can think of are the one with the Gelth, The Idiot's Lantern and Midnight

"Love and Monsters" was certainly a let down. Of course, it was a Doctor-lite and companion-lite serial, so that wasn't surprising.
I also didn't like "The Dæmons", from the Pertwee era. It just dragged, which says something, since the Delgado Master was in it.
"The Happiness Patrol" from the McCoy era was another let down. Just a dumb story.
